Kildysart started the game with 5 unanswered points before Enda Haugh opened Coolmeen’s account with 2 pointed frees. Kildysart scored 5 more points to increase their lead. Paul Hehir pointed for Coolmeen before Sean McMahon goaled after a great passing move by the Coolmeen forwards. Kildysart added 2 further points before Jamie Brooks pointed for Coolmeen just on the half time whistle.

Coolmeen defeated Kilrush in the Garry Cup Rd 6 Div 2 Football League on a score of 1 – 13 to 0 – 06
Coolmeen started in whirlwind fashion with a Mark Meaney goal in the 1st minute of game. Coolmeen pushed forward & were rewarded with 2 Cathal O’Connor points. Kilrush got back into the game & scored 5 points without reply before the break.
Half Time: Coolmeen: 1 – 02 Kilrush: 0 – 05
Coolmeen started the second half in great fashion with points from Kevin Corry & Cian Murphy (2). Kevin (Val) McMahon punished Kilrush fouling with 3 pointed frees. Kilrush responded with a point to reduce the margin. Aidan Corry pointed for Coolmeen before Cathal O’Connor kicked 4 pointed frees to confirm a comprehensive victory for the Black & Amber Brigade.

Coolmeen defeated Shannon Gaels in the Div 6 Football League Rd 4 game on a score of 1 – 07 to 0 – 09
This was an exciting game played between two evenly matched sides. Shannon Gaels started brightly with 3 points in a row. Coolmeen responded with a Enda Haugh pointed free & a Sean P McMahon point from play. Shannon Gaels regained control & scored 4 points from play before the break.
Half Time: Shannon Gaels: 0 – 07 Coolmeen: 0 – 02
Shannon Gaels scored the first 2 points of the second half to extend their lead. Coolmeen kept in touch with points from Enda Haugh & Kevin (Jack) McMahon. With 10 minutes to go Aaron Kelly burst through the Gaels defence & rattled the net with a rasping shot. Coolmeen now surged forward & Jamie Brooks kicked a great point from play before Sean P McMahon levelled the game with a point from an acute angle. In injury time after a passing move the length of the pitch Jamie Brooks split the posts with a brilliant point to give Coolmeen the lead. Shannon Gaels pressed forward looking for an equaliser but the Coolmeen defence held firm & the final whistle brought a deserved victory for Coolmeen.

Coolmeen started the game brightly with pointed frees from Cathal O’Connor & Kevin (Val) McMahon. Gradually Kildysart got into the game & scored 4 points before the break.
Half Time: Kildysart: 0 – 04 Coolmeen: 0 – 02
Kildysart scored 2 points from play at start of second half before Cathal O’Connor responded with 2 points. The crucial score of the game came when Luke McGrath punched the ball to the back of the Coolmeen net to extend the Kildysart lead. Cathal O’Connor scored 3 points on the trot to reduce the lead. Kildysart regained their composure & scored 4 points in a row to confirm their victory

Moy started brightly & scored the first 3 points of the game. Coolmeen responded with 2 Enda Haugh pointed frees. Damian Finucane then goaled for Moy before Enda Haugh again scored 2 further points for Coolmeen. Moy finished the half strongly with 2 points.

Moy scored 2 points at start of second period before Sean McMahon goaled for Coolmeen to reduce the margin. Enda Haugh pointed a free to leave 2 points between the teams. Moy regained their composure & scored 3 points before the end to seal their victory

In a closely contested encounter Kilmihil took an early lead with 3 points. Cian Murphy responded with a point from play followed by a goal to give Coolmeen the lead. Kilmihil scored 2 further points before Coolmeen finished the half strongly with points from Sean Wallace & Gary Meaney (2)

Doora-Barefield defeated Coolmeen in the 1st Rd Garry Cup Div 2 Football League on a score of 1 – 08 to 0 – 05

Coolmeen started brightly with an Alan Normoyle point. Doora-Barefield responded with 3 points in a row to take the lead. Shane McMahon & Cian Murphy replied with points for Coolmeen to level the game. Doora-Barefield added 2 further points before the break.
