Coolmeen v Doonbeg (Division 3)

Cúil Mín had a comprehensive victory over Doonbeg in the Division 3 match played on March 18th. Score: Cúil Mín 3 – 14 Doonbeg 0 – 04. 

Cúil Mín started brightly with points from David Neenan, Cathal O’Connor and Kevin McMahon. With our defence and midfield well on top we created numerous chances. Joe Corry scored two excellent points before Kevin Corry scored a peach of a goal after a great passing move. David Neenan added another point. 

Halftime score: Cúil Mín 1 – 06 Doonbeg 0 – 00.

Doonbeg started the second half with 2 points to narrow the gap. Cúil Mín regained their composure with points from Aaron Kelly and Kevin McMahon. The highlight of the game came when Cathal O’Connor blasted the ball to the net after a sweeping attacking move. Cúil Mín now introduced Anthony King, Padraig Corry, Shane McMahon, Donal Houlihan and Aidan Hanrahan as substitutes. Further points from Micheál Brooks (2), Donal Houlihan and Shane McMahon extended the lead. Padraig Corry scored a third goal to put the icing on the cake. 

Others to impress were Sean McMahon, Michael Kirrane, Thomas Coffey and Brian Markham.
